In a statement released to Z3 Sports, Horak Racing has learned
that the balance of the 2009 ASA Southeast Asphalt Tour has been
cancelled. Sighting financial hardship related to the overall
economic decline, ASA SAT joins a handful of other notable racing
series including CRA South, the Southern Pro Late Model Series, and
the ASA Modified Series in abbreviating or cancelling the remaining
events for 2009. Horak Racing would like to thank the
officials associated with ASA SAT for their professionalism and
hard work at the track, and want to wish them much success in the
future. Terry Horak will be credited with 12th
place in the overall ASA SAT standings for 2009. The team is
busy analyzing race dates in other series to round out their
schedule for 2009.
