On Halloween weekend the boys from Horak Racing took a trip down
nostalgia lane at North Wilkesboro Speedway. The tough ol'
girl proved to be just as rough on tires and the completion as it
was back in the heyday of the Winston Cup Series. Terry
qualified the #28 Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka machine in 6th
position and thanks to a lucky draw on the invert, would start
3rd on the field. By the half way stop, Terry was
cruising with the field in a comfortable 7th place
trying to save his equipment. Early in the second half the
top seven cars including Terry were running in a pack when two of
the front runners made contact and blocked the track.
Unfortunately, the Horak Racing machine had nowhere to go and
suffered front end damage. The crew led by chief Neal Cantor
quickly removed the damaged bodywork allowing Terry to see the
checkers and salvage a 7th place finish, solidifying the
team's sixth place finish in the Sunoco National Tour overall
points standings for 2010.
